King Philip II of Macedon
King Philip II had many wives, and many concubines that gave him a lot of children. One of his concubine, and cousin (Arsinoe of Macedon) is interesting, and we will talk about her later. But the famous ones of his children where whom that was educated in the same time, by the same teacher. Two of them marks the history. We will make the link of King Alexander the great, and king Ptolemy I Soter with the expression that says “Chain in the chain that include your brother, your father, and the king of kings”.
King Philip II was the son of King Amyntas III and Eurydice of Lynkestis. He had two other brothers, and one sister. Also, he had three others half-brothers.
Arsinoe III of Macedon
Arsinoe was of the Argead dynasty, and first was King Philip II concubine. She was the daughter of Meleager, who was a cousin of Amyntas III (King Philip II Father), son of Balacrus, son of Amyntas, son of Alexander I of Macedon. She was more legitimate to the throne than King Philip II. Arsinoe, and King Philip II claimed both descendant from Argive Greeks and the Hero Heracles.
King Ptolemy I Soter
He was the first King and founder of the Ptolemy’s dynasty. He is Alexander the Great half-brother.
Queen Cleopatra VII of Egypt
She was the last queen of the Ptolemaic dynasty in Egypt. Everyone who name himself king of kings will die. Cleopatra named her son Cesarion King of Kings believing that Julius Cesar will not die.
King Ptolemy of Mauretania was murdered because he was from this dynasty of king of kings.
Shah of Iran was killed because he called himself king of kings.
Cleopatra Selene of Mauritania
From her mother Queen Cleopatra VII of Egypt, Cleopatra Selene Claim to be descendant of Heracles, like her Husband King Juba II. They’ve got married because of their lineage from Heracles.
